ESCAPE IN A WORLD OF CONNECTIVITY
日本一本道a不卡免费Contemporary life is filled with imagery of escape. The landscape often chosen to illustrate this desire is the desert. This studio asks: what is escape in a world filled with connectivity? Is it possible to be ‘lost’ when seemingly everything is being tracked, traced, and kept tabs on? Then, what could it mean to be ‘found’? What does it mean to build in the anthropocene? What is the aesthetic value of the contemporary, colonized desert and how can we usher it forth into strange and imaginative architecture? This studio will confront the found material of the desert itself to bring forth an architectural project confronting these questions.

SIMPLE THINGS MISTAKEN
日本一本道a不卡免费If architecture dwells within ordinary buildings what do we do about it? How do we find it?
Immersion 2019 suggests we don’t try to originate but instead adopt techniques that rearrange and then edit. This strategy is aimed at finding new ways of looking at ordinary objects and buildings – of the detournement of the “familiar”. This program is an immersion exercise into the normative context of a small Midwestern town and architecture as a (distorted) reflection of that context. What ever the project will be it should reflect our thoughts on the current context in both its physical and cultural sense.
